For your consideration; a catalogue of creative projects.

Highlighting a handful of my creative outlets over recent years, this is where some of my time and effort goes that’s not strictly “paid” work.

  • "The Stone and the Wave": a new translation (2024)

Aristotelis Valaoritis’ 1863 poem (published in Greek) remains a timely call to arms against the yoke of colonialism and oppression. I have found no accessible or worthy translations, and undertook the task myself. I preserved the original rhyme scheme and meter of the 60 line. In doing so, I hope to do honour to the mighty pantheon of Greek poets that have come before, that their words may not go unread even into these current days. Read it here.

  • Mutability - a purposeful SubStack (2022-)

Mutability intends to balance catalysing change, with a celebration of the enchantment and poetry of our Earth.

It acts as a way to share what inspires and ignites me, as well as contribute to a more ethical, purposeful future. My writing includes essays, poetry, listicles, and travelogues, and (at its best) explores radical ways to work, organise, and distribute wealth.

  • Expansion Packs (2021-22)

Expansion Packs are long-form (20-40 page) guides that explore a topic in depth, offering history, essays, and self-paced practices. With backing from Patreon, I researched, designed, and wrote each of them, suffused with my own lived experience and care.

  • "The Future of Wellness: A treatise on evolving paradigms in the Wellness Industry" (2022)

A labour of love over almost a year, in “The Future of Wellness” I propose a first draft for what a future beyond the current Wellness Industry could be. A 4-paradigm model draws on economic, socio-cultural, and spiritual sources to suggest a meta-framework for understanding the Industry, in order to evolve it to a more ethical and generative one.

  • "The Future of Wellness": Companion guide for revolution (2022)

In the “Companion guide for revolution, you will find all the resources and further reading to deepen your practice, and create your own Paradigm model for the Wellness Industry.

The intent was to make the content the Treatise open source, for others to use and improve.

  • Eindhoven poetry night (2022)

Sunday Mornings at the River - a Dutch indie poetry press - had their first event post-lockdowns in 2022. Showcasing emerging English-language poets, I closed out the night performing 3 original poems.

  • "The Pilgrim's Trail": a 5 page piece in Enchanted Living Magazine (2020)

My travelogue of adventures in the footsteps of the British Romantic poets was featured in Enchanted Living’s Winter 2020 issue: “The Romantics”. It was my first submission to an international print publication, and on a subject dear to my heart.

  • "Hard Corn": a sketch comedy show - without a show (2018-20)

In response to meme culture and mindless scrolling, Hard Corn is experimental in content as well as medium. Each sketch is in text form, demanding time to be read. From the outlandish to the cringe-worthy, at best, these skits will hold the mirror up to our accepted social norms and reactions to them. At worst, they’re the tiny love child of “I think you should leave” and “Seinfeld”.

  • "Skate Night": a dialogue-driven visual novel (2018)

Working with No Moss Studios, I penned 45 minutes of dialogue for Skate Night”; a game about finding a hot date at the skate rink in the 80’s.

Crafted in 10 days, it combined my love of 80’s pop-culture and screenwriting into a quirky, soulful game I’m proud of.

  • Children's books: a generation of empathetic leaders (2019)

In 2019, I wrote 4 books for children (3-7) that start conversations about resilience, diversity, and empathy. While they weren’t published, it was an insight into the publication process.

  • "GetReal": vacation programme for NZ students (2018)

GetReal was a school holiday programme in Auckland (NZ) intended to provide young people with experiences that build empathy and gratitude. I designed and led students through a full-day programme to reflect and integrate their experiences over the preceding 4 days.

  • Building a consistent global brand (2015-2019)

During my time as Director of Cause Corps, I learned what goes into building a brand from the ground up. I wrote the majority of our copy and branding material; from email templates, blog posts, website copy, internal documentation, and annual reports.

  • "Springtime in the British Isles": a travel photobook (2016)

After a 3 month journey through the U.K and Northern Ireland, I created a limited run of original photobooks. The majority of photographs explored the blossoming Spring, from as south as Salisbury, and northern as the wilds of Orkney.
